A National liver conference was held at GGHC, Chennai on the 25th of January 2020. The theme was "Basic and Advanced Liver Intensive Care: Newer Opportunities for Nurses". Dr. Dileep Kumar, the President of the Indian Nursing Council was the Guest of Honour. The programme was initiated to mark the year of nurses and midwives. Plenary sessions on Liver transplant from the basics to advanced Liver monitoring and care of critically ill transplant patients were the topics of discussion. There was also a Panel discussion that was chaired by Dr. Jothi Clara Michael, Dr. Balaji.
On the occasion of World Organ Donation Day, Gleneagles Hospital, Lakdikapul kick-started a mass drive on its plea to become an organ donor. Organ Donation is a simple way to make an incredible impact.
The Hospital staff comprising a team of Healthcare Professionals took part in a 2 Kms Walkathon from Lakdikapul Station to Assembly Station in its bid to create maximum awareness among people of all age groups to sign up for organ donation & give someone a second chance at life.
On the occasion of World Heart Day, Gleneagles Hospital, Lakdikapul took the lead by kickstarting a mass awareness drive all across the hyderabad city to address rising heart problems in society. As part of our initiative, we placed Heart-Shaped Inflatables at different traffic junctions all over the city getting necessary support from Hyderabad Traffic Police Force. The event was graced by respected ACP – P Murli Krishna who gave a resounding heads-up to this noble cause.

The event was accompanied by Head of Senior Citizen Welfare Association, Telangana – Mrs. Savitri Devi along with her community members. They supported us in our cause to raise maximum awareness on early screening of arthritis & prevention methods to lead better quality of life.
