Dr Anil Tambe is a paediatric hepatology and gastroenterology specialist with over a decade of experience in managing complex gastrointestinal, liver, and pancreatic disorders in children. His training spans India and the United Kingdom, giving him a strong foundation in both advanced clinical practice and academic medicine.
He completed his MBBS from Grant Medical College, followed by an MD in Paediatrics from K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai. He later pursued a PDCC in Pediatric Gastroenterology at SGPGIMS, Lucknow, one of India’s leading centres. To further refine his skills, he underwent a Fellowship in Advanced Pediatric Gastroenterology at the prestigious Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (GOSH), London.
Dr Tambe has held key roles across major institutions, including Assistant Professor at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College and Consultant at Jagjivanram Hospital, Mumbai. His expertise includes diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy in children, with special proficiency in paediatric ERCP.
He was honoured with the Young Investigator Award at ESPGHAN 2023 in Vienna, recognising his contribution to paediatric gastroenterology research. With a patient-centered approach and strong clinical acumen, Dr Tambe is committed to delivering high-quality care to children with gastrointestinal and liver diseases.
