Gleneagles Hospital Lakdi Ka Pul Hyderabad (part of the Fortis Healthcare Network Hospital) organises ‘Ride for a Cause’ motorbike rally on World Liver Day 2026 in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad, April 19, 2026: Gleneagles Hospital, Lakdi-ka-pul, (part of the Fortis Healthcare Network) organised a special motorbike rally titled “Ride for a Cause” to mark World Liver Day 2026, observed every year on April 19 to raise awareness on liver health and early detection of liver diseases. The rally highlighted this year’s theme, “Solid Habits, Strong Liver”, focusing on how everyday lifestyle choices can prevent liver diseases.

The event saw over 500 bikers and participants from across Hyderabad ride together for the cause, including motorcycle clubs, working professionals and healthcare staff. The rally was flagged off by Mr. R. Sanjay Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Saifabad, Hyderabad in the presence of senior hepatologists, surgeons and administrators from Gleneagles Hospital, Lakdi-ka-pul.

The motorbike convoy started from Gleneagles Hospital, Lakdi-ka-pul, passed through key city stretches and returned to the hospital premises, drawing attention from onlookers along the route. Riders sported flags, liver health messages and safety gear, reinforcing the dual message of road safety and liver-friendly habits such as balanced diet, regular exercise, limited alcohol intake and periodic health check-ups

During the event, the liver care team from Gleneagles Hospital, Lakdi-ka-pul, featuring Dr Kavya Harika Dendukuri, Lead Hepatologist, actively engaged with participants and the biking community, highlighting the importance of early detection and lifestyle modification for liver health. They were joined by Dr Tharun Gattu, Senior HPB & Liver Transplant Surgeon, Dr Manikanteswara Rao, Consultant HPB & Liver Transplant Surgeon, Dr G Victor Vinod Babu, Senior Consultant Surgical Gastroenterologist, who collectively emphasized the need for regular screening, timely intervention and sustained awareness to combat the rising burden of liver diseases in the region.
