Dr. Vijay Deshpande is a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Critical Care at Gleneagles BGS Hospital, Bangalore. He has extensive experience in managing liver ICU (the only dedicated liver ICU in the state), surgical ICU, and transplant ICU, including over 25-30 liver transplants and 80-100 renal transplants annually. He is skilled in independent anaesthesia administration for high-risk patients and performs various ICU procedures.

Oncological emergencies: DIC, febrile neutropenia, tumour lysis syndrome
Obstetric emergencies: HELLP syndrome, pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, PPH
Procedures: endotracheal intubation, arterial line, USG-guided central line, ICD insertion, USG-guided ascitic fluid and hydrothorax drainage, percutaneous tracheostomy (under supervision)
