About

Dr. Naren Nayak is a reputed Neurosurgeon with over 11 years of experience in Neuro and Spine Surgery. He has been associated with some of Mumbai’s leading hospitals and has extensive experience in neurotrauma care, functional neurosurgery, and spine surgery. He has also served as an Assistant Professor in Neurosurgery at India’s first medical college to start a dedicated trauma care centre.

 

In 2015, Dr. Nayak co-founded the Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) program at Gleneagles Hospital, Parel, alongside Dr. Pankaj Agarwal (Movement Disorder Neurologist). Since its inception, the program has successfully treated numerous patients with Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, and dystonia through DBS surgery.

 

Dr. Nayak has also completed a Fellowship in Stereotaxy and Functional Neurosurgery under Prof. Takaomi Taira at the Department of Neurosurgery, TWMU, Tokyo, Japan. His academic and clinical contributions have been recognized through numerous publications in peer-reviewed medical journals.
