Dr Prashanth Rao is a highly experienced Gastrointestinal (GI) and Bariatric Surgeon with over 34 years in the field. He specializes in Advanced Minimal Access (Laparoscopic) Surgery, covering Upper GI, Colorectal, Bariatric, Hepato-Biliary (HPB), and Thoracic procedures. Renowned for his expertise in single-port and advanced laparoscopic techniques, Dr Rao has trained and lectured internationally, contributing significantly to surgical education and research. He is also the Founder Member of the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India and the Indian Chapter of the International Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Association.
